Hello.

I'm a researcher and strategy consultant living in Brooklyn, New York. I use social science research methods (ethnography, interviews, focus groups, surveys, etc.) to help companies create human-centered experiences, products, and services.

As Wild Type Consulting, I provide freelance user research and product management services to startups, agencies, and healthcare companies. Currently, in a long-term engagement with NYU Langone Health's IT department, I work across projects in their Patient Digital Experience portfolio. I value human-centered and evidence-based approaches to digital product design and development.

Previously, I led research and strategy teams at HITLAB, a digital health tech consultancy, where I designed and implemented pilot studies for startups, conducted ethnographic and other qualitative research, and advised healthcare companies ranging from non-profits to Fortune 500 life science companies.

I've written about reproductive health issues and digital health research for clinical trials in academic journals. I've co-authored publications on caregiving and technology for AARP Project Catalyst.  My analysis and writing on EHR apps for hospitals, caregiver tech needs, usability testing, and mHealth impact on nurse-patient relations have been presented at the American Public Health Association conference.

I've presented research at the National Institutes of Health IEEE Wireless Health Conference (Bethesda), been a panelist at the HITLAB Summit (New York), and appeared as a guest speaker at the Columbia Mailman School of Public Health (New York).

I received my MPH from Columbia University and studied Bioethics and Studio Art at the University of Virginia, where I was pre-med. If we meet, I'm likely to feed you home-made ice cream or organize your refrigerator and pantry.
